Bush Hill Get 1-2-3

Spartan by Mon Sang, bred by Colleen and Gary de Klerk and raised at Bush Hill Stud. Image:

Bush Hill Stud achieved an incredible feat of having 1-2-3 past the winning post in the first race at Arlington yesterday, the
R50 000 - SA Classic Day 31 March Maiden Plate over 2000m.

The first three horses past the line all carried top weights of 60kgs, the winner being a good-looking son of Mon Sang(USA) out of Speedy Guest by Northern Guest, named Spartan bred and raised at Bush Hill on behalf of old friends and long standing clients Colleen and Gary de Klerk. He has had six places and a win to date.

Sir Isaac finished 1,5 lengths off him. Sir Isaac is by
Newton(IRE) out of Celestial Dawn by Divine King. He has now placed from four starts.

Third went to Detzky's Tao, 1,75 lengths off the winner, by Modus Vivendi(USA) out of Green Sunshine by Linney Head. He has now placed four times.

Spartan has a half-sister foaled last year at Bush Hill Stud by Ravishing.

Bush Hill Stud will be represented at the Emperor's Palace National Yearling Sale coming up April with a half-sister
to The Mouseketeer by Miesque's Approval, out of Look Sharp. Look Sharp has a Mullin's Bay colt at foot this year.

Bush Hill will have strong representation at the KZN sale where they will have siblings to both Spartan (a filly
by Mullins Bay) and Sir Isaac (a filly by Mon Sang) along with a host of other exciting prospects by a wide
range of stallions.

Warwick commented after the result "It is always exciting for any stud to have a winner, so to run
1,2,3 is simply fantastic and simply gives everyone on the stud a boost."
