Cat's Whiskers Makes It Five For Bush Hill In January

Bush Hill Stud has had five winners in January with some very exciting future prospects throwing their names forward, and impressive debut runner Cat's Whiskers followed up her second place two weeks ago with an incredible four length win at Turffontein over 1000m on Saturday.

The three year old Mogok filly is inbred to mare Coup De Folie, out of Sheer Brilliance by Kahal. Sheer Brilliance is living up to her name at stud, having produced multiple winners such as the talented Gemini Gold, Dux and Handsome Hudson. This filly was unsold at the National Two Year Old Sale, and from two starts has now had an impressive second place and a win.

Congratulations to owner Mrs M Mynhardt and trainer Greg and Karen Anthony. Interestingly two progeny of Toreador finished second and third respectively, Golden Memories and Spirit Of Love. Toreador has followed up with another winner at Kenilworth on the 23rd January named Wafiquah, with a number of places countrywide - 12 from Gauteng, Eastern Cape and KZN from only 17 starts!

Toreador's first KZN-bred progeny will be offered on sale this year.

Congratulations to all concerned.
