King Neptune Wins At Greyville

King Neptune, by Cataloochee out of Plutonium by Muhtafal, won at Greyville on the 29th January in a Novice Plate over 1600m.

Trained by Dennis Drier and ridden by Sean Cormack, King Neptune won by a quarter length from Lehaaf(ARG) and Red Rover, carrying a top weight of the field with 60kgs, drawn third.

A R200 000 National Yearling Sale graduate of 2010, King Neptune has now had two wins, four seconds and a third, being only out of the places once from all his starts. His dam is the unraced Plutonium - a half-sister to Gr 1 winners Stellite and Zirconeum, and the dam of multiple Stakes-placed Stella Mia.

Plutonium has a colt at foot by Trippi, and she has tested in foal to resident sire Kahal for 2013.

Congratulations to owners Mr and Mrs Muir.
