Bush Hill Stud has had two winners in a week with King's Drive winning by five lengths at Turffontein for Tyrone Zackey, whilst the beautifully-bred Mojo King won at Flamingo Park yesterday in his first start at the new course.
King's Drive, by Miesque's Approval out of Qui Danzig mare Scenic Drive, has won twice - his first race by six lengths. A R70 000 KZN Yearling Sales graduate, he has placed four times previously including behind Gr1 winner Rabada. King's Drive is a half-brother to 5-time winner Mirage Drive, Gr3 and Listed placed in Fairview. This is the family of Valley Dancer and Up The Creek.
Mojo King had his first start at Flamingo Park and came home victorious after placing previously in KZN. The son of Kahal out of Cadeaux Genereax mare Balsam, descends from the immediate damline of sires Polish Precedent, Mining and Wavering Monarch. Balsam has produced six winners, and is the second dam of Jo's Bond, an 8-time winner including the Gr2 Southern Cross Stakes. Mojo King is trained by Mr MN Prinsloo and won by a length over 1600m.
A former resident sire of Bush Hill Stud, the deceased Kahal is currently lying second on the National Sires Log behind Silvano, with 19 winners so far for the current season.
