Sir Isaac Grabs Fifth Win

Sir Isaac won his fifth race at Flamingo Park over 1800m, defeating Stone Pine by not only two lengths, but also shouldering 3kgs more under Jockey Marthinus Mienie.

Going off at odds of 25/1, the son of Newton won easily on the sand track in good going, with San Vincenzo and Claverhouse placing respectively.

Sir Isaac is a previous winner of the Flamingo Park Handicap (Non-Black Type) over 1800m, as well as winning a Pinnacle Stakes under top jockey Smanga Khumalo by five and half lengths. The six year old chestnut gelding is owned by Mr Payne and trained by Tienie Prinsloo, and he has placed 10 times - earning R295 525 in stakes.

Sir Isaac is by former resident sire Newton (by Danehill), out of Celestial Dawn by by Divine King.

Celestial Dawn has had seven runners and five winners, including four-time Muhtafal winning filly, Zaafiel, who placed second in the Listed Breeders Guineas. The dam is a half-sister to Light Fandango, and the immdiate family of Jet Aglow, Ghostly Galleon, My Kazzie, Wise Wren and Cato Court.
