Successful Season For King's Chapel

King's Chapel, Bush Hill Stallion Day 2012. Photo: Candiese Marnewick As the breeding season draws to an end I thought it may be appropriate to share another interesting and positive past week or so of results with you.

After a period of very few runners King’s Chapel has had a very successful past ten days with his progeny again performing admirably in all of Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and New Zealand. In the period from the 7 December to yesterday (17 December) he had a total of 15 runners, 10 of whom earned cheques, two of them as winners and four of them were seconds.

In a little more detail:

In Singapore he had three runners with Paragon Angel and Chinese Tycoon both running 2nd both over 1200m. Boundless Glory ran 8th.

In Australia he had only one runner in this period and that was Gold Lining who finished 3rd over 1400m.

In Macau, Holy Chapel ran 2nd over 1600m, this being his only runner there in the week.

Real General won the HKJC Wong Shek H. over 1600m (earning R 450 000). He was the only runner in Hong Kong.

The balance of the runners were in New Zealand and these were headed up by Chapel Star winning over 1200m, and King Prawn placing second on the 10th and following this up with a 4th five days later both runs over 1600m to go with the few other places from his progeny.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support of King’s Chapel for this season, it has been greatly appreciated by both him and us.

He has worked well through the season and has come through it looking a picture of good health and in fine fettle with continued enthusiasm for his work.

Though the season is not quite concluded, as he still has a few mares booking, we are thrilled with the book he has received, he will finish off the season having covered between 90 and 100 mares, and again many of exceptional quality, including several dams of black type winners and even of Gr 1 winners.

His fertility has again been excellent in what by many accounts has not been the easiest of seasons.

From all of us at Bush Hill we wish you all a happy, safe and love filled festive period, and a New Year filled with good prices and loads of winners.

Best regards

Warwick & Karin
