Recently deceased resident sire Kahal is currently heading up the National Sires Log by Stakes Earned.

His 115 runners have totalled an impressive R2 752 150 in Stakes earned - almost R300 000 more than Dynasty in second position and KZN-bred Jet Master lying in third.

No Worries heads up as Kahal's leading runner, recently taking home the Gr2 Spring Joburg Challenge. Kahal also continues his domination on sand and artificial going, currently in second position on the National Log for both categories.

On the sand Kahal's top-earner is represented by Uncle Tommy, who ran second in the Gr2 Emerald Cup in September whilst Storm Surf is the top-earner for Kahal on artificial going. As Leading Sire Of Three Year Olds by Stakes Earned, Kahal is once again present in fourth position.

On the international front, Lovely Naughty, out of Shoreline Symphony recently won at Sha Tin over 1200m.

Leading Sires Of 3YO's By AEPR is also represented by another Shadwell-owned sire - the leader being the outstanding Muhtafal who has retired from stud duties at Spring Valley Stud. Muhtafal, sire of Dubai Cup-placed Paris Perfect, maintains his high percentage of runners to winners with an impressive 45%.
