Scottsville Double For Bush Hill

Bush Hill Stud had two wins at the Scottsville race meeting on Friday, with Indigo Child and Denozzo.

Indigo Child, by Newton out of Royal Triumph, broke her maiden over 1200m winning by an incredible five lengths, carrying a top weight of 60kgs under Alec Forbes in very soft going. Trained by Duncan Howells, Indigo Child has been a very close second in four of her starts, as well as running third. She has only been out of the money once, having a total of seven starts, six places and a win.

Her dam Royal Triumph is a two time-winning daughter of Kahal out of the top class Zimbabwean mare Laplander. She has a filly at foot by Just As Well this season and will go to King Of Kings for her 2013 foal.

Congratulations to her owners Mesdames M Naicker & R Govender,Messrs E A Naicker & P Singh & Dr M Singh, Mrs Vanashree & Mr Anant Singh & Mr D C Howells.

Denozzo, by Solskjaer out of Snippety Snip, won over 1600m under Jassurick Jordaan by a quarter length. Trained by Kumaran Naidoo, this is Denozzo's second win and he has placed second twice, including to Vettel(ARG).

His dam Snippety Snip is a three-time winning daughter of Jallad out of the imported Snippets mare It's A Snip. She has a Brave Tin Soldier yearling colt and filly foal at foot by Atso.

Snippety Snip is in foal to Curved Ball this year - a pedigree cross of Fastnet Rock and Snippets that has proved successful.
